Perdana Stables

The Perdana Stables were completed in February 2007, and are home to the horses of our Ex-Prime Minister YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir, our Criollos as well as purebred FEI-competing Arabians. This 4-acre complex also houses an exercise circuit and riding paddocks.

Just a few strides away, down by the river, are the older and smaller stables which are linked to the Perdana Stables via a pleasantly landscaped road.

The next phase in our development plan is to convert the surrounding secondary jungle of about 40 acres into a full scale Stud-Farm and Research Centre, in line with the expansion plans following the recent registration of our Malaysian-Arabian breed of purebred horses.

A Tribute to YABhg Tun Mahathir, an Ardent Horseman...

YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir is an ardent horseman. This great gentleman has inspired countless Malaysians and individuals, and continues to ride and canter on the beautiful beaches of Langkawi and at several equestrian centers in Malaysia regularly. He also rides overseas in countries such as Australia, Argentina and China. The Malaysian equestrian world owes much of its success and achievements today to the vision of this magnificent horseman who has contributed so generously in immeasurable ways.

In Langkawi, we started with only a few ex-race horses. Today we have grown into a major breeding and riding centre and we are extremely grateful for all the support given by our customers and especially to our Ex-Prime Minister YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir who has inspired us from day one.  In fact, the idea of producing the finest quality of purebred Arabians with his Stallion "Al-Bariq" was mooted by none other than this visionary horseman.

In-house Farrier and Equine Dentist

Do you know that generally, horses are considered lucky if their teeth could be given the once-over every 6 months ? At our riding centre, every horse's teeth is checked once every 2 months to ensure tip-top dental health - which is very crucial to our horses' genarally well-being. This is made possible as we have an in-house equine dentist. Having our in-house farrier also enables our horses to be shod correctly and conveniently.
